Aldric, was once a faithful Paladin, but while battling a devil through a portal, Asmodeus, caught the him, and possessed his soul. He became Asmodeus' main aenging anti-paladin. Asmodeus learned that Black Razor could be used to open a portal from his world to the Prime Material, large enough that he could launch a full scale invasion. 

Aldric was sent to retrieve the sword, which had been broken into 3 pieces. The pommel, Shadow's gem, the hilt, Scute's cross bar in his hammer, and the blade, kept underground. 

Aldric raided many villages, slaughtering all that lay before him. He was ruthless, vengeful. He killed Shadow's parents, and the entire undead sanctuary. When he realized that only Shadow could hold the gem, he took her and raised her as his own.

He also led raids on the peaceful giants to the east as well as many other villages looking for information. 

Aldric is single handedly responsible for killing the families of Shadow, L, Scute, Titus and even Mogi.

Aldric spared Titus, if he would make a pact with Asmodeus to join him in opening the portal. Titus willingly accepted and pledged his very mortal soul.

When he was in a fierce battle with a great cleric, the cleric sacrificed himself to try to purify Aldric's soul. This wiped Aldric's memory, but his soul remained trapped by Asmodeus. His desire to reunite Black Razor remained in his subconscious. 

Now what will he do? Will he fulfill his destiny and reunite Black Razor, or will he sacrifice his soul to save Shadow and close the portal?
